Oatmeal with Fruit

A quick and easy microwave oatmeal topped with strawberries and banana.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup oatmeal
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/8 cup milk
  • 1 to 2 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 2 to 3 strawberries sliced
  • 1/2 banana sliced

Instructions

  • Add the oatmeal and water to a microwave-safe bowl.
  • Microwave according to the package directions, usually about 2 to 3 minutes, until the oats are soft and cooked through.
  • Stir in the maple syrup and milk after cooking.
  • Top with sliced strawberries and banana.
  • Serve warm.

Notes

  • Start with 1 tablespoon of maple syrup and add more if needed.
  • Keep an eye on the oatmeal in the microwave so it does not bubble over.
  • This recipe is easy to change up with whatever fruit you have at home.
